16月大女嬰罹罕病重25公斤宛如米其林人

一名年僅1歲4個月大的小女嬰，體重竟然高達25公斤，食量驚人完全不知道什麼叫做「飽足感」，也因為體重過重，雙腳根本無法支撐，因此到現在都無法走路。

綜合外媒報導，印度旁遮普邦(PUNJAB)一名小女嬰庫瑪(Chahat Kumar)，出生時體重與一般孩子並無太大差別，沒想到到了她4個月大時，體重卻突然暴增，彷彿像是不知道什麼叫做飽足感，一直都在吃東西，只要不給她吃東西，她就會開始大哭。

目前1歲4個月大的庫瑪，體重已經來到了25公斤，因為庫瑪食量實在太驚人，讓她的父母必須用適合10歲孩子吃的薄煎餅跟蔬菜咖哩，才能滿足她對食物的需求。庫瑪的父親蘇拉傑(Suraj Kumar)表示，庫瑪已經胖到雙腳根本無法支撐，就連20秒都辦不到，因此也無法帶她出門，絕大多數的時間只能待在家中。

其實庫瑪的父母很早就發現異狀，但帶著庫瑪跑遍當地醫生，即使醫生們都能夠確定庫瑪的情況「很不尋常」，但也都無法解釋出答案。一直到庫瑪的狀況被當地媒體報導後，一間醫療機構替她免費檢查，才發現她患有罕見的「瘦體素缺乏症」(leptin deficiency disease)。

這項罕病讓庫瑪的大腦無法接收到飽足感，全球至今也僅有51例通報病例，醫師達雅爾(Devi Dayal)表示，雖然這個罕病能夠透過施打賀爾蒙的方式進行治療，但所費不貲，院方也沒有辦法直接取得。目前旁遮普邦決定替庫瑪提供免費醫療，院方則是另外尋求企業資助，從國外購買治療的賀爾蒙藥物。
